The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It's a great mopping performance but lacks some of the advanced features that are found in its more expensive sibling.

In the course of testing, it was able to take on dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile and pet hair on hard floors. It doesn't use LIDAR however, as other models do to locate your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, including the dirt compartment integrated into the charging base. This robot can recognize your habits of cleaning, and suggest automated schedules that will give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the touch of one button. You can select an overall clean that focuses on getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice or go for two detailed maps of your home to ensure your entire home gets a proper look.

This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as quickly as other models do and can remove pet hair without difficulty. It's not able to work with plush or high-pile carpets however, iRobot says that future models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that focuses on improving the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to hug furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are standard however we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ has an improved filter system that prevents tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. We like the statement but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to store the layout of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior. It can then clean your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are as good as those on higher-end models. Its mopping system is even better - its spinning pads clean your floors more efficiently than an ordinary pad that vibrates.

The only drawback is the absence of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. However, it's not a major issue when you're looking to purchase one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also larger than many of its competitors and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.

In terms of the mopping device, I was impressed with its ability to scrub the tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has which are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create little noise, so you can work or watch television without getting distracted. If it comes into contact with an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it before moving forward.

What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely on its own, with no need for human intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that can automatically transfer physical garbage into the bin hidden in the background, as well as cleans and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is wrong, such as the water tank being empty or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to a full bin.

You can also design and merge rooms to modify the way that Q Revo treats your abode. This is a great feature if you have multiple areas of your home with different flooring materials or there's clutter that must be removed regularly, such as toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum was also among the best performers in my tests, picking up debris on carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first pass. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris and is easier to empty when needed.

Finally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as a voice assistant that works offline, allowing you to manage it even when not home. But while these functions are useful however, they also make the L10s Ultra more in the luxury category and could mean it's a little more expensive than some homeowners need.

It is designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish that's highlighted by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper that helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage when moving through the home. In the pane in the front is a second navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that acts as an on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, while clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The center of the control panel has a circular menu that lets you choose cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences.
